Choosing a 2018 Prescription Drug Plan

Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period (Oct 15 – Dec 7, 2017) is quickly approaching, and now is the time to review your drug coverage and decide if you want to make any changes for 2018.  You should receive your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) by October 1, 2017. Be sure to review:

  • Monthly premium
  • Deductible
  • Copays
  • Covered or discontinued drugs
  • Preferred pharmacies

Remember, Part D plans change every year, so it is very important to review your plan before deciding to keep or switch carriers. If you are satisfied with the changes and coverage, you do not need to contact us; your plan will automatically renew in the New Year.

How do I change my Part D plan for 2018?

If you would like to research the drug plans available to you, the Medicare website (www.medicare.gov) provides an online tool to help you determine a Part D prescription drug plan that will meet your needs.  We have also included instructions for using the online tool here – it is a fairly simple process for those who have internet access and are comfortable using the computer.

If you would like our assistance, we are always happy to assist you in choosing new coverage. Currently, we represent the following Part D Providers:

  • AARP

Please Note:

Client Testimonials

Choosing a 2018 Prescription Drug Plan | The Wooten Agency

  • "This is a family-owned business who cares about their potential clients. I was looking for help with health insurance and even though it turns out I don't need new health insurance at this time, I feel compelled to write a review because of how thorough Brendan was. He was very knowledgeable and easy-going. He didn't seem pushy at all and listened to everything I had to say. He made sure he was getting all the information correct. I would recommend this agency for any insurance needs." - - Cary, NC
  • "I sought help from Wooten Agency; Ed, along with Nancy, took the bull by the horns and sorted things out for us very quickly. Shortly thereafter Ginny took over. She is definitely most qualified as a plan selector for Medicare plans and issues related to Medicare. My appreciation to Crystal for the gracious way she always responds to telephone calls and makes every effort to ensure one is not forgotten. And Dana....the one contact we had was enough to find out you are similarly inclined to help a client." - - Raleigh, NC
  • "You [Aaron] have been so helpful, and you have all taken a personal interest in my individual and specific questions in order to make the best insurance choices for my needs. Thank you all! I look forward to working together in the future months and years." - - Morrisville, NC
